We have continued our focus on involving children as full participants in the life of our community through:
Providing a weekly Children’s Sermon with purposeful follow-up activities for children during the worship service. We incorporate art and drama so that our worship will have intergenerational appeal.
Encouraging the children’s leadership in worship (e.g. ushering, serving as acolytes, reading scripture, creating bulletin covers, liturgical drama)
Presenting a Joint Church School Christmas pageant.
Offering festive seasonal intergenerational events, such as advent wreathe-making, hanging of the greens, blessing of the animals, Easter egg decorating and delivery to shut-ins, an Easter egg hunt, and spring and fall church school celebrations and picnics.
Providing optional nursery care for very young children during worship.
